LocalCooling For Your Computer Saves Energy

Your computer consumes tonnes of energy, did you know that? US users alone waste more than 30 billion kilowatt-hours of energy because they forget to shut down our computers when they’re not using them. But now there is an energy efficiency program called LocalCooling that you can download for free to combat this problem.

The makers of the software, Uniblue Labs, claim that if just 100 million users optimize the computer energy efficiency, over 300 billion kg of CO2 gas emissions are prevented. That is the equivalent of over 1.8 billion gallons of oil. The CO2 emissions from just 15 computers are equivalent in energy terms to the gas consumption used by one car.

LocalCooling installs in just a few minutes and the program helps your PC to use a more effective power save mode. You will also be able to see your savings in real-time translated to more environmental terms such as how many trees and gallons of oil you have saved.
